DIY drop checker

Hello everybody.
I have checked out many threads about DIY drop checkers and this is what I have came up with.
Very simple and easy to make.
All you need is 2 different size caps. One about 1in in diameter of the hair mousse and the other about 1/2in of the body mist bottle, and one suction cup for the heater from Petco.

Now to the fabrication:

Cut big cap about ½ thru the length of the cap so it looks like on the next pictures.







The fold fingers inside the cap, they will hold the small cap in place.


Next insert smaller cap in attach suction cap and viola!


Add test solution, install in to aquarium


After about 2 hours the color changed to green, so it works.



Please comment. I'm open to suggestions for improvement.

I had the same question. Is this for water parameters? Idk if I'd trust the solution to actually be in my tank, but the idea is still pretty clever :D

This test is for content of CO2 in the water for plants, if the CO2 is low the test solution is blue, if normal, about 30ppm, solution is green, to much CO2 test solution yellow
The drop checker is a useful equipment for the planted tanks.
