Catfish

Recently just changed out my 100 gallon tank to a sand substrate and it looks like sand is stuck to my catfishes eyes. Have anybody had this problem or know what to do about this problem?

What's the ph in the aquarium? Perhaps a low ph is causing an overactive slime coat which is causing sand to stick to it?

Is it possible that it's just tiny bubbles? If things were stirred up in the tank when you switched substrates, new water going in, etc. I had a situation like that once -- a lot of micro-bubbles all over my fish and when I first noticed it, I thought it was ich until I gave it a closer look!

I thought the same thing once. Turned out to be little bubbles too.

Tiny bubbles
In the wine
Make me happy
Make me feel fine
Tiny bubbles
Make me warm all over
With a feeling that I'm gonna
Love you till the end of time.

C'mon you all wanted to sing it as well, so sing along. :)
