I am about to start a colony of Cardinal shrimp for my son. Anyone else keep them and what is the market like? He would hope to sell a few in the future to off set his costs. Just wondering if there is a locasl market at all for them, Since water parameters are so far off from other shrimp you really have to have a special tank for these little guys.

My tap water is 7.8 ph but wondering if I should keep them in that or use RO treated with crushed coral. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated. If anyone has them do you use a nuetral bottom gravel or do you use crushed coral bottom. Thanks

Hawaiian - You can purchase Cardinals at Midway Pets & Tropical Fish in Kent, WA and they can tell you the perimeters for them - high PH of 7.6 I believe with temps closer to 80 IIRC. Good luck.

I was just there last weekend and he was telling me he uses Fluval Shrimp Stratum with crushed coral mixed in... I didn't find out the ratio...but I am sure he will help you with that.
