I think bowfronts and hex and other odd shape aquariums are popular because they have the appeal of not being a rectangle. I have 2 bowfront and one hex running now and like the variety they add. Now for the negative. I don’t like the way bowfront aquariums distort the view. I am kicking around in my mind the idea of painting the bowed side of my 30g planted bow and then turning the tank around to view from the flat side. I will lose the ability to use a hob filter but have a hydor canister.
I’m at home sick so I have all day to focus on the idea less actually working on it.
