Assassin snails

I've had them breed in my tank before and the eggs are not laid in a cluster like I would have thought, so I didn't notice them at first. But one day I saw the cutest little assassin plowing through the sand. The eggs were little individual squares deposited in a variety of locations -- plants, wood, etc.

There I was all alone with nothing between me and a killer. Thankfully, I had my trusty camera to memorialize the moment. A lone baby assassin!!! Where there’s one there’s bound to be more, I hope.

Years ago I had a nano tank with some cherry shrimp and one of those little danios ( can’t remember the name but it was something sounding like a solar system or planet) anyways, I brought in a couple of live plants and then I somehow ended up with about a billion pest snails ( they were crawling all over them selves like an extra layer of gravel).

long story short, I bought two assassin snails and they took care of the problem. Those things are stone cold killers
