Aqueon QuietFlow vs. AquaClear

I love and hate my Aqueon. Have 2 of them going. Hate the crazy expensive replacement filters that are the equivalent of a polishing pad that does not last long to clog and falls apart pretty quick if you try to clean it. I have found some aftermarket replacements online that work very well, but the last time I ordered they were getting hard to find.

Love the motor inside the tank ( less noise ), the massive water flow and the aeration bar. The only way this thing could leak is if the plastic breaks.

I have a prefilter on both of them to protect from sand and have yet to replace an impeller in over 3 years.
