Any one know how to get daphnia out of my tank?

I have a 55 long planted aquarium with 6 amano shrimp in there and no fish because I am still in the cycling faze. The daphnia are eating my plants (mostly the jungle val), I'm thinking when I get fish (which should be soon, i'm on a waiting list for silver tip tetras and female green swordtails) It should help or get rid of the problem.

You could get some feeder goldfish from a local LFS and just give them back once your get your tetras and swordtails.

they're tiny dots that sit on the glass, driftwood, plants, and substrate. They swim away if your finger goes near them. If this helps at all I am experiencing slight green water (which I think is just because it is getting a lot sunnier here in Washington and my tank is in slight sunlight, and it being a young tank), and my shrimp eat it but not enough to make much of a dent.
