Been awhile since I updated this thread. I hate when you go into a thread and its left open and hanging for years.... so this is closure.
So this amphilophus project was fun, while it lasted. When the dominant two fishes had issue and one passed and the other had to be put down the remaining two just couldnt get along in the 300. The best thing to do was to start a different tank. I rehomed the true midas to @Madness and the Petsmart devil to a hobbyist on Craigslist. So I close this thread out with a good bye to all the amphs and a hello to the pearsei that replaced them.
