I am looking for a larger air pump to run a few of my tanks and I am looking for suggestions. So I would love to run my 210g with 2 sponge filters, a 30g, 40B, and a 40 sump all with sponge filters all off of the same pump. Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions?
I tried these and did not like them. They were very loud and the piston in them did not last very long.
I use these ( http://www.petsmart.com/fish/air-pu...rium-air-pump-zid36-16855/cat-36-catid-300087 ) and they work amazing, they are inexpensive and they push quite a bit of air. Not to mention that they use much less electricity to run. The 4 outlet one will work perfect, just split off one of the outlets with 2 hoses and use those for your 30 and sump. Mine have been running for 2 years straight 24/7 and are still going strong
mine where both loud from the box but i added about 3 feet of tubing to the gang valve and about 12 inches to the "intake" tube, and they are pretty quite now, thats good to know about the piston, ill have to dig up the boxes incase they take a dump.
After talking with Cory, I am actually leaning towards picking up one of the piston pumps from Jehmco. It looks like we might be adding some more tanks next year, and I want the flexibility, as well as quietness, of a larger capacity pump!
