Adding Eco-Complete

Just wondering how bad of an idea it is to add Eco-Complete to my fully stocked and active tank right now. Don't want to hurt any of my fish, but my Amazon Swords definitely could use the nutrients. I was thinking of just scooping in a 20lb bag, cup by cup, and then slowly working it in by hand. Any input would be great! Flourish isn't doing the trick.

I wouldn't use eco-complete with an already established tank because of the live heterotrophic bacteria it states having for cycling. Instead I would use black flourite by seachem. I usually mix in a little laterite in with it. I mix the two up in a bowl and rinse a couple of times and on the last rinse I add a little prime to make sure its dechlorinated. Then add slowly by the cupful and you should have very little clouding.

....EDIT: ooops sorry I didn't see the very end of your post where you said flourish wasn't doing the trick for ya !

Its not going to hurt your fish but you willl definatly have a smoke cloud for a day or 2... No matter how careful you are putting it int... Definatly take it slow and it wont be sooo bad tho..

I have done this in my tank it work out just fine.
I used 1 1/2 inch PVC pipe long enough from bottom to stay above water and use a cup and poured Eco-Complete thru the pipe. This way you will have less of the smoke cloud.
