Holy hair algae Batman! What, if any ferts do you use? First I'd back off lighting (2 3hr periods with a mini break in between maybe?) and co2. Even a total dark-out for a few days. Manual removal and hair algae loving critters can do a lot in a short period of time.

Here's an atrocious phone pic of some very stressed fish, but at least you can see the big fat belly. There's not much I need fish-wise, but I wouldn't say no to geophagus, guppies, corydoras, or even possibly a betta if it's so incredible it can do my taxes.
