I've delayed adding a cichlid tank, but would like to put some my lace rock to use. My concern is that it might be too sharp for less "durable" species. Thoughts?
I wouldnt use anything sharp, especially in a cichlid tank, with all the aggression its easy for one of them to get a good size gash from a sharp rock... plus almost all my fish during displaying will bang up against a rock.
i just take another rock and rub it over any surface im unsure about. works wonders. that or just hide the rough edge. the lace rock can be sharp but i just find it coarse like sand paper most times.
