I just wanted to see what people though. I'm considering an event where I have Dustin out to give a talk. Any ideas on what you'd like him to speak on? What type of event you'd enjoy?

Current idea I'm floating is renting the theater above my shop and doing kind of a pizza party and talk/hang out with Dustin for $20. Ideas? We'd shoot a video etc.

Thought about having a low light aquascaping demo done in store possibly. Lots of ideas, but the reality is, what do YOU want to see?

Interesting fellow as I see his videos on youtube. I would guess there would be folks interested. I'd love to attend but its the distance as usual (pizza party sounds great!).

Yes x1000000, I think I have a man crush on him and I totally respect that he quit his day job to do something that he loves. I think he could actually give some useful advice between the yelling.

I've been watching his videos for a while now and even though I'm only mildly interested in the planted side of the hobby, I would love to go see him talk. Sounds like a great time. I want one of his "What's up fish tank people" shirts!

I would say bring him in he has a lot of good information for people who are just getting started or people who are having issues and need a little help I know I have learned quite a bit from him.

I hadn't heard of Dustin until Cory's post, but have watched a few videos of his over the last couple of days, and I would absolutely drop 20 or 30 bucks to come have some pizza and watch him talk or do a demo.

His style is a bit energetic, but it definitely seems genuine, and you have to have mad props for a 33 year old (with a family) who leaves a successful sales career to do something he's passionate about, and he seems to be doing well and having some good results. He's also actually pretty prepared for his videos, and although the camera work is often a bit jarring, his narrative is quick, smooth, honest and to the point, and I learned something in each of the videos I watched this weekend.

I'd be interested in anything, but a "what's your line" style of improv aquascape demo would be cool. Maybe give him a theme or style (riverine asian biotope, rift lake, or something similar), and a box of stuff (driftwood, rocks, and plants), and then have him aquascape a smaller tank like a 20L or 29 while talking through his thought process, with some interactive input from the crowd?

Anything interactive and educational would be awesome. Standing by for whatever you set up!

Seen this guy before, love his videos! And renting the theater to do a fish talk over pizza? Where do I get in line?
