CO2 solenoid valve - Please help

Hello Fellow Fishboxers,

I am building my first pressurized CO2 setup and have procured a nice victor regulator, an Italian needle valve and a 5lb. tank. I am looking to get a solenoid valve and I see several Burkerts on ebay. The thing is i'm not sure which models will work. I want 1/4" npt and based on the pictures, I'm not sure which ones will work. This is for a 46 bowfront that is currently planted heavy with about 200 RCS and some tetras. Any suggestions on where to get a nice reliable solenoid would be appreciated and I'm looking to spend about 30$ max?

I just typed in 'CO2 silnoid' on ebay in the Fish and Aquariums section. A few silnoids came up from $15 on up. You may have to do some research.

Some of your local plant and indoor garden stores may have silnoids, or be able to get one. Perhaps give them a call and see what they can do for you. http://hoagtechhydroponics.com

1/8 NPT in and out, fair price. Just get a 24V DC power supply and cut the barrel plug off and screw the wires down for power (very simple, takes two minutes)

1/4 NPT for the solenoid is pretty big, probably best to step down to 1/8 since thats probably what your needle valve is going to be if you went with something like that fabco nv-55-18
