As we all know I'm in Pullman, and this is the only real local fish store around. I went in there and every employee that walked by asked if I needed help with something. There is probably only around 25 - 30 tanks there, but his prices are reasonable. They stock many community and schooling fish, but only a few cichlids. Great prices on dry goods as well. Every tank was spotless; no dead fish and no visible diseases. The owner reminds me of Kevin at APFP: knowledgeable and helpful.

Barnacle Bill's is an oasis in the desert of SE Washington. The owner Bill is one of the nicest fish-folk you will meet. Oh the feeling of walking in from the bone dry 20-below Palouse windchill, into the balmy 78 degree quarantine room... yes quarantine room.. where I would decide what I was going to buy next week as a reward for surviving yet another test. Clean tanks, healthy fish, handy Rollodex for keeping track of store credit ( ok that was like 6 years ago... it may be on a computer now).
