went to the store today to get some fish food and ended up leaving 2 small venustus!

Was this at A Place For Pet? Looks similar to ones I saw, and I too ended up getting one that was a pretty early developing male ^_^

Also got a 3.25 inch or so venustus if you wanna buy it, probably a female since it has no signs of male coloration, can't risk putting it with the new venustus in an all male tank.

Nice. I really like the Nimbochromis. I used to have a polystigma, but it outgrew my tank.

ive always seen them but never thought to get any, how big was it?

I don't remember how big it was, but I think they max out around 8 - 9 inches. Not as big as the venustus.

They have huge mouths! This was a full grown rusty. (No one was hurt. They did this after waterchanges.)

Don't have a picture of her, but it's that regular green'ish color all over. Had high hopes when I bought it as a juvie, but this new fella I have higher expectations since I already see a blue'ish sheen on the body and face, with him only being about 2.25 inches or so ^_^
