the new couple and friends in the 125

They had a batch of eggs as of yesterday on the log where the female is but it looks like somebody ate most of them.. I also had 5 tinfoil barbs as of yesterday but it looks like one of them got picked off...

Looking good. Ive had silver dollars in my tanks for years now. They are not very intelligent but it does look cool the watch them school.

Any dither/target fish will have to be able to take quite a beating with a trimac. I have had my SD's for quite a while now and at one point they were with a midas. As the fish got moved up in tank size aggression did mellow out on the part of the midas. My SD's are red hooks and two of them show that at one point their hooks were bent/broken and regrew a bit crooked. kind of like someone who had their nose broke and it was never quite the same. These guys enjoy a relatively peaceful tank life now with a big pearsei.

If they have formed a bond, I wouldn't worry about dither fish..... As I only use them when I have aggression in the tank.  From the few pairs in currently have, once they get along, the hard part is over. Good luck with creating your own strain of flowerhorn!  I'd like you to call them the tritacdevil horns( trimac+ Tacoma+ midevil= the new name)
