Last weekend I stepped up and purchased this book .... the book price wasn’t bad, at $35 dollars, shipping was expensive at almost $40, but after receiving it today ( from Europe) I feel like I ripped them off. I dare say this may be one of the greatest books published in recent history!

it came with a bichir bookmark, bichir poster, and the hard bound book..

please check out these pics for a sample of the book, book mark, and poster

I remember the writer asking for pics to use in his book from the members on the MFK forum. I guess if your picture was used in the publication, you received a book free of charge. It is definitely the most up to date published books on bichirs, very well researched.

I’m beyond impressed with the compilation of information.

Very nice. You can find a lot of information online, but I still prefer a good, quality book. I have a couple of Ad Konings books on Malawi and Tanganyika cichlids and got him to sign them when he spoke at a gsas meeting. :)

Totally agree with you. Most people who write books know what they're talking about; there is no quality control whatsoever in what gets posted online, and there is a great deal of misinformation out there, on every conceivable subject. :(
