Stubborn Ich

Just to update this thread...I think a high ammonia reading (.50) in my tank is the reason why my fish are doing a little flashing. They definitely have been acting MUCH better since I drained the tank and switched the substrate. Less flashing and swimming happily/more active. I bought some Prime and put in a dose and am now waiting for the ammonia level to drop. I also bought a large bottle of Kordon Ich Attack to have on hand. I like the fact that it is all natural.

Ammonia would indicate a lack of bacteria. I personally like to use Seachem Stability when I start a tank or really tear into a filter. Whether it truly does what it says it does or not I have yet to have a cycling issue when I use it.
