Not even differently abled. Just straight up doesn't care enabled and engaged lol Was #13 in a dozen feeders. Found it the first winter when it was floating. Brought it in, rehabilitated it and put back in pond (fins deteriorating and all) Next season was fine, but third winter it had bloat. Again overwinter indoors. Going on 9 years now and Phoenix (formerly tiny Tim) is almost always the first to eat, pushes other fish out of the way and chases females at mating time. Probably successful too since he's a tough one lol

Probably my favorite fish.

Nice.

My uncle has two ponds with a water fall and lazy river connecting them in his Japanese style backyard.

He had some koi I gave him in highschool that lived almost 20 years and were close to 18-19”.

They would breed and the fry would go down the stream to the goldfish pond.

He’d have to relocate them once he caught them, but both ponds are huge with the goldfish pond have a bridge to walk across the middle ( and give the goldfish some cover from the occasional cranes that would come into his year ( pre dog ).

I’ll try to find some pics, but I love to hear how your goldfish is a survivor!
