Please Boycott this Movie !!!

Well I am not usually one to boycott movies, though I rarely go to any, however the best animated series ever Cowboy Bebop is being made into a cheesy Hollywood film starring.... wait for the faint sound of one hand clapping..... Keanu Reeves. Please Please watch the full series if you must to understand why this is a horid thing to have happen to such a wonderful set of characters. Then please please, tell everyone to never ever see this movie, and too write as many letters as they feel necessary to never let it see the light of day. All that is great in the Universe will thank you

They said the same with dragonballz (my fav anime), but the movie wasnt too bad.... the cartoon is pretty cheezy, so they kept it light hearted like that... I thought it was good.... Now for airbender, I heard they removed all the cheeze factor, and made it all hard core, which is lame.... I will still watch it to give bad reviews though...

anything with keanu reeves has to be horrible... lol.... but I will have to see it, just to say how horrible it is! I will let you know how terrible it is me... lol

Lol, thanks for the info. My wife just told me about the abomination this evening. It's especially sad for her because I just introduced her to the series a year ago, and it is her favorite now. At least I had a good 10 years of enjoying it before Hollywood messed it up.

For the record Keanu has done 1 and a half good movies. Bill and Teds excellent adventure, and I have to say Scanner darkly wasn't horrible. Of course playing a junky that is numb to feeling is not too much of a stretch from his other roles ;)

c'mon.... speed and matrix werent bad. and agree with bill and teds excellent and bogus adventure! everything else, terrible.

LOL, Ok I will give you the first Matrix movie. I did watch speed, and it was watchable. But only because of the cute girl. Oh, I will give him Point Break. Decent flick.

Remember when they used Unknown Actors and made good films? Wasn't that How he got his start anyways (bill and ted). I am sure there will be many reasons for me to hate the film (if I wasn't boycotting it) But I absolutely do not see him as Spike. I personally would cast an unknown badass that actually fits the part rather than a 50 year old pretty boy. I would love to see Canoe prove me wrong, but I won't be holding my breath ;)

Lol, and spike had history that made him so bad ass rather than just being "the one".

The water comment is a famous bruce lee quote btw.

It's worth mentioning, though I think the American dub of Bebop is pretty good (especially compared to other Anime's), However the Japanese original voices really adds a level that is lost in the American voices. IMO of course ;)
