Are you able to see any difference in sex at this stage? Would love to get ahold of a male... I have a piece of wood that just is a huge mess and I think a pleco might just be the answer to keeping it clean.

No, the males don’t start getting whiskers until they are bigger.

How big do these particular ones get? I have a pleco that I inherited from a friend in one of my tanks, and I was afraid he was going to grow into a monster, but even after several years he is just a little guy, and seems happy enough, so I haven't had to re-home him. In fact, I like him.

These stay small 4-5in full grown.

@fishguy1978, it was nice to see all your fish! Thank you for the bristle nose plecos. Im sure they will be happy muching of all that growth on my driftwood.
