I just made John and I custom t-shirts (I'm doing an online photoshop class so learning how to muck about with stuff) with Chadette on them ... hard to tell how they will turn out till I have them in hand...crossing my fingers for a decent end result  ;)

I'm surprised I haven't posted on here... I could've sworn I posted on here not too long ago... Hmm... well, anywho... Axl Rosalotl is now 9" in length, which is pretty good, considering I got him when he was about...2 months old at about 2", like 6 months ago... :DI can't wait to start breeding them! :D

Pneumostome was so kind to rehome her axolotl to me so that Axl Rosalotl could have a mating partner :Dthank you so much! Mimi Monster will be so happy to be with another Axolotl, I think. I do want to fatten her up a bit, just so that she doesn't get squished by Axl Rosalotl. LOL.

Here they are, currently... Mimi Monster is in a 10 gallon tank for now, before I transfer her into the 40 gallon with Axl :3

Also, Axl Rosalotl likes yoga. Upward Facing Dog (or Axolotl! Hah!)

Yay! Thanks Morgan :D
Lori also mentioned that I was looking for a female axolotl, I'm so happy that there are others looking out for me! I feel so loved :)

Thanks again you two (and anyone else who mentioned about my needing of a female axolotl!)

Re: Axolotls! (PokeSepiroth's Little Aquatic Alien)

It's been a while since I've updated here, but I think this update is worth mentioning, or something like that :)

I *JUST* found out that one of my axolotls laid eggs! I noticed that there were little jelly-algae looking things in the aquarium, so I went to look and see what exactly they were. I looked closer, lo and behold, they were eggs! Ahhhh!!!

Totally unexpected. Well, I mean, it was BOUND to happen, but I didn't think it would happen this soon!
So now I'm doing all the research I can, read a couple things here and there, and from what I can tell, it looks like the eggs are about 4 days old now.

I'm probably going to go through all the eggs that I can find in the tank, and place them in a separated part in the tank, and discard any of the unfertilized ones.

Here's a picture of one of the eggs that looks like a super tiny little axolotl that's already forming!
I'm so excited!

Day....9? Some of them have hatched out of their eggs! Prematurely perhaps? Or maybe the eggs were older than I thought they were? Who knows. Gonna feed em live baby brine shrimp tomorrow!! I might transfer them to a 10 gallon tank if I'm not sore tomorrow. :)

Oh my gosh, could you imagine how much food I would have to feed them?!?! Or how many tanks I would need to separate them, lest they cannibalize each other. EEEP... then again, survival of the fittest does sound pretty....alluring. *maniacal laughter*

Sorry, I'm still on a Walking Dead high. =P

Day 10 and most of the baby Axolotls have hatched out of their eggs and are starting to eat live baby brine shrimp! EEEEE!!
