My rhino pleco

Been a super long time since I posted pics of anything but my house remodel and the 300 gallon tank so just a couple pics of my rhino pleco.


He totally came out for a pic.

A close up. Love the weird little ridge on their heads.

Just had to share. Almost a proof I still have fish, lol.

Yep he likes the mopani, but not too much.

Fun fact Rhino pleco have no 'L' number like other plecos.

Nice clear pic -- good looking pleco. He matches the wood well. I like the head ridge as well and the lines down the body too.

Thanks Betty, I was actually thinking of re-homing the guy for a while.... he is a typical pleco and somehow can produce triple the amount of poo for everything he eats. I just gravel vac it up regularly to keep the tank clean looking. It is also nice that he gets along with all the bichir. Some plecos develop a taste for the bichir slime coat and will suck on them to the point of causing 'hickies' that will sometimes get infected. Thankfully mine is a good community tank fish... even if it poops a lot! lol
