I'm Kaie... and im an addict. [how many introduction posts have been started with that?] :lol:

I grew up with my dad having ALL KINDS of aquariums. Salt and fresh. After putting off getting set up myself for years, i finally took in a 5 year old tiger oscar that has HITH. I've slowly been nursing him back to health. His holes have only moderately gotten smaller. But, his aggressive attitude has change A LOT. He is still a general bastard though. I really need to get him a bigger tank as he is in a 55G-Tall. $$$. He does however have ridiculous amounts of filtration. He came with an AquaClear70. I recently found 2 more of the same model on Craigslist for $25 for both. So now he has 210G worth of filtration. :lol: .

My girlfriend also recently got a 5Gal after our 1Gal broke that had danios in it. That's been a disaster. small tanks for the lose. Seriously. :x

Anyways. I have plans to get a million more tanks.

That's all i have for now. He's a big boy. About 12.7-13.5" [PITA to measure]. He has to Austin Powers his tank to turn around... :cry:

I just found a 100 gallon for 100 bucks on Craigslist. I'm not sure where you are but it's located in Graham. If I wouldn't get killed I'd totally scoop it up.

Your Oscar is gorgeous!!!! We're all addicted here. :lol:

We are glad to have you on here.... gettin rid of HITH is a pain, thank you for doing it not just killing the fish! Your water looks amazingly clear! NICE!.. what part of town are you in. It's funny one would ask that, used to be a tiny place. Not that its big, but it has pseudo areas.

300% Filtration will do that :lol: Running bulk foam cut to size and bags totaling 1Liter of Seachem Matrix. I'm going to replace one layer of foam in each filter with Seachem Purigen here soon.

Im on the north end of town, off 100th st... behind fred meyers ;) .... grow up here, so I know what you mean about marysville blowin up... I remember when fred meyer was like the BIG thing in town.... Now we got casinos, carnivals, all sort of good stuff. lol
I agree with the 300% filtration.... lol. Looks awesome, like the oscar is floating. I need more filters, less tanks... lol

I've had success treating hole it the head (when i used to own oscars) with a vitamin supplemented diet. i would grind up a one a day multi-vitamin ..(more like half of one), then add water then soak the dry type pellet food in it before feeding. good luck i miss my oscars...
