Heater choices?

Ok, yet another equipment question for everyone here! I am currently mulling over heater options for the new 210g I am setting up, and I am trying to decided what to get. I am debating on either 2 250w heaters or the Finnex 800w with controller. Any suggestions? I know that the typical rule of thumb is 3-4 watts/gallon, but I am not too sure how accurate this is.

I would advise like 3 lower wattage heaters versus 1 high wattage heater. As Cory pointed out a long time ago. If one of your three heaters fail and stick on it wont fry your fish. But if one 800w heater fails it could be a disaster.

Most places outside the USA, use 100 watt heaters. So if you wanted 500 watts, you'd use 5x 100 watt heaters. As when one fails it isn't devastating.
