So I passed on the one tank but bought the other. 165 gallon bowfront.

How many guys will it take to carry? Looks to be around 330lbs or so the guy said 4 guys were grunting to carry it. I have delivered and carried many a spa with others, but never a glass tank that big my 110 is acrylic so I and the wife did it.

So you guys with monster tanks how many guys you figure to carry? I am thinking 3?

With my 210g (glass 72x24x29), when I bought the tank we moved it with 3 guys but that was a total straight shot from house to back of the van, and I did not pay the guy until the tank made it in one piece into the van just in case.

My friend and I moved the tank into my garage, just the two of us, but no real lifting was involved getting it out of the large cargo van.

The real test was getting it in my house from the garage. I have a staircase to lift it over so I got six people to help. Its better to be safe than sorry. Im glad I had the extra help!

So minimum 4, but recommended 6.

Forgot to mention, we want to see pics, so dont break it! :lmfao:

I love bow fronts and a 165g one will be impressive, congrats on the new tank! :spoton:

165? 2 people, piece of cake. Me and my 2 boys moved my 210. So 2 men could do it if there is not much maneuvering.

Also moved my 300 gal glass with just 2 guys. But used 2 dollies, built it up to the level of my truck with cinder blocks and plywood, lifted the tank up onto the dollies, rolled it over to the stand, lifted one end up onto the stand, and slid into place. Piece of cake. :) Use whatever you can to make it easier.

It took me a 4 friends to move a 400g but I was directing it.
And me and 1 friend moved a 150g on stand.
It all depends on the strength of your guys and the length of the tank.

My husband and I moved an 8' tank 240 gallons from a downstairs location to our house. Just the 2 of us. Don't necessarily need strength, but the right tools!
