These are from the wetspot being advertised as guianacara geayi, but dwarfpike chimed in saying highly unlikely. After a bit of research i have to agree, not geayi. May be too young yet to positively id.

cool fish never the less. I was thinking of getting some from the wet spot pretty soon.

I have had them about a month now. They were really shy for the first few weeks even with dithers in there. But they have gotten a lot more boisterous. They are peaceful, don't bother any other fish. They constantly dig little holes in the sand, fun to watch.

I think they are still too young yet. One of the diagnostics is if the black lappets on the dorsal fin fades with age or not.

Tomorrow I'll upload the species guide diagram I think I have somewhere around here. Probably won't help while they are young, but it gives you an idea of how subtle the differences are.

I can't find the one with the two newest species, but here is the older one from google (not this only applies to the adults):

The horizontal line yours have is throwing me though.
