**FREE Presentation** Aquascaping Planted Tanks - GSAS
The Greater Seattle Aquarium Society (GSAS) is pleased to host noted aquatic plant and aquascaping enthusiast Kris Weinhold for our next meeting on May 12th.
Kris Weinhold grew up keeping aquariums, but really fell in love with planted aquariums about a decade ago, diving head-first into researching and experimenting with various plants, growing techniques, and aquascape designs. Kris is a past president of the Greater Washington Aquatic Plant Association (the other Washington), and has published articles in The Aquatic Gardener, Aquarium International, and had his photos appear in several other publications. He also maintains a website/blog showcasing his aquarium and nature photography, and his informative articles on aquarium keeping and aquatic plant ecology. Last month, he chaired the most recent Aquatic Gardeners Association Conference (see photo).
Kris's presentation will walk through the basic methods for designing, planting, and maintaining an aquascape. His methods will focus on planted aquaria, but are applicable to any beautifully aquascaped tank.
The presentation will be Tuesday, May 12th, 2015 at 7:30 PM at Seattle Pacific University; Otto Miller Hall; Room 109; West Nickerson Street and 3rd Avenue West.
Doors will open about 6:30 PM for a 'social hour'; the meeting will start at 7:30 PM.
After the meeting please join us for our monthly auction and help to support the club that brings us all our these outstanding speakers.
