Another intro

I've been a member here for a few months, made a few posts, but haven't introduced myself...

Kip here, and I've been keeping tanks since I was in 5th grade. That first tank was a 15 gallon chrome rimmed, chrome hooded beauty - yeah Chrome, I'm old...
No silicone back then, just some black tarry stuff to seal them with...lol.
(But man I'd love to find an old tank like that just for fun!)

I've usually had large (50 gal and up) tanks, and had SW fish only and reef tanks in the past as well as many FW tanks.
Currently I have a 29 gal planted tank with pressurized CO2, two low tech planted fluval edges, and a 2.5
gal planted betta tank (one of those hang on the wall port-hole looking things).
I'm filling a tall 47 gal tank tomorrow to replace the 29 gal tank, and within the year hope to add a 100+ gal planted tank to the mix (as time and budget allows).

Seems like a good group here and I'm glad to be a member!

Welcome! Shall we call them the good old days? I think not! Spring a leak. Tear down the tank. Size didnt matter. Clean out all the old black stuff, put in new. Hope for the best. gotta luvit. Dedication to keeping "watery friends" was a must.

My friend just found one. The bottom was cracked so we sealed it without any extra support, as it is is about 5 gallons, only 4 inches deep though. Perfect for a bookshelf.

Wow, that's a find! Only 4 inches deep? I wonder if that was a turtle tank?

Yeah, I'd love to find a 15 or 20 gal with the chrome trim.

I'd pimp me an old school tank! You know - bubbling treasure chest, the plastic scuba diver swimming through the glass side of the tank (body in two pieces with suction cups, one half went in the tank, the other on the outside). I want.

4 from front to back. It is about as tall as a 10 gallon and a little wider.
