Wow! Crazy color.... I’m surprised it weighs 9..... the bass I caught last summer look similar in size and were only 2-3lbs. It must be the perspective of the picture .

Must be the natural light and benefit from being in the sun. Just like some of the pics of feral cichlids in Florida. They are outrageous in color.

It's a koi - notice the whiskers? Goldfish don't have barbels.

True enough, and koi get way, way bigger than 9 pounds...
