Im setting up a tank for my first Multi shell dwellers and im trying to dexide on a substrate.
Im thinking a 2/3 Aragonite to 1/3 pool filter sand to boost the ph and hardness.

Any reason not to use Aragonite?

Nope, it works great with shell dwellers, and any of the sand-sifting Tanganyikans.

I am in with Sir Keith ... it's a good African substrate. I have also used Carib-sea subtrate to great success with them as well.

After watching Steenfott's shellies of long ago, I was smitten. Haven't taken the jump though.

Interested also in what do you do with all those fry?
