I've never really kept Plecos and that's only because I don't have enough algae to support them. I refuse to put algae wafers in my tank heh. My snails and platys keep the algae at bay.

May 18, 2015 Added Anubias nana and java fern to the tank. I also switched out the super old substrate for pool filter sand. Never used sand before so it will be interesting to see how the plants grow. My plan is to soon have 100% real plants.

@VickiK - That is Ludwigia repens. In order for the pinks and reds to come out you need good light and an iron supplement. For me it grows like a weed and I needed to trim it about once a week. But that's probably because I run a Finnex Planted+ with pressurized CO2. :p
