Sorry everyone, been super busy with a sea of axolotl hatchlings, a tiny human and the plague. I have a very small amount of moss. If you still need some message me.
I've found that Poulsbo Petco has the best plants of the Kitsap Petco stores. I've found two large amazon swords there. I just have to make sure to watch how they bag them due to watching a lady pour water on one in a bag and completely destroy it.
I took on quite a few of my friend's mystery snails. Some we are keeping and some are going to a new home next month, but this will leave me with more than I can reasonably have. With her permission I am selling about 10 pea sized mystery snails. They will be a mix of blues and purples. $5, pick...
I didn't realize this. Could a false Julii interbreed with them? I have one that fraternizes with the peppered. He usually swims with the green.
(Hoping to get more false Julii next month.)
Yes, mystery snails and assassin eggs. These are 4-5" below the water line though, not above, and look nothing like assassin eggs. Definitely catfish. I was just curious if they could be glass cat eggs because I've seen what looks like mating behaviors.
Has anyone bred both Glass Catfish and Green/Peppered Corycat? Do they look about the same color and size? I ask because something laid eggs in my Dad's tank but they are in bigger clusters than the previous cory cat eggs have been in. They are also in the first 4-5" of the water line. I'm...
I have two free tanks, a 10g and a 29g. I was told that both hold water but I'm not sure, so you will need to test. The 10 G needs cleaning. No filters or other suppliers are included.
I wanted to update that since removing the alder cones and IAL, the corycat have stopped breeding. I'll be replacing them soon to see if they start reproducing again.
I'm a total newbie but I feed my corycat fry newborn daphnia and crushed up fish flakes. I have a sponge filter and have discovered the flake food gets stuck on it and the cory have a field day. Out of 18 hatchlings I've only lost 3.
Edited to add that the corycats will be 4 weeks old tomorrow.
The only issues I have with Petco in Poulsbo relates to snails. They have all of the snails, including Assassins, in one tank and an employee refused to recognize that the Inca Snail is just a golden Mystery Snail. They couldn't explain how the Black mystery and Inca I bought from them had...
