I'm sorry, when you say wintered do you mean you leave them outside or bring them in during the winter? also im looking to make a nice barrel pond this summer and keep a couple of fancies. anyone know a good article on how to make one?

Hmmm I vacuum the gravel bed everytime i do a waterchange (weekly). Just curious because of lot of you seem to have intervals when cleaning the gravel... Does that help a lot in "low tech" planted setups? Is it normal to find lots of debris in the substrate, and especially near driftwood?

Hi, I'm debating whether to get another filter or replace the one i have right now. I currently have a Hagen Marina Slimfilter15. The filter works great but I want more flow to increase oxygenation. Maybe i could get a mine powerhead? Any suggestions?

Stores nice and there's quite a collection of plants and tropical fish! Lots of supplies too. Staff is nice but the Owner is horrid. He told me once that the only plants i would be able to grow (without co2/fert/supplement or anything low-tech) would be plastic. I laughed.

Maaaan don't hate. He's got great tanks. I know he talks with slang but i personally think he talks more like a "frat guy" then anything.
