    Other Hobbies?

Picking a Lily with the right depth and spread for the area is pretty important, and they have a pretty specific temperature range for good growth, there are species for almost any condition but you might have to wait a couple years to get one to bloom unless you purchase one ready to go and...

What did you do with your tank(s) today?

Usually, we lay a bead of silicone around the bottom pane, then on the two outside panes and stand them all up together, holding them with masking tape, or for heavy tanks you can use corner guides and cabinet clamps. If you get to the point where you can cut a precise -1/16 off 3 sides of the...

I'm not following any threads on this build you're doing but I'm very curious. You used "super glue" meaning cyanoacrylate or some "super" glue like goop etc? I don't think I've seen traditional super glue used on a glass tank before so I'm very interested in your process.

What did you do with your tank(s) today?

I would go one bigger for a betta. After sand and the smallest piece of clean basalt I had in my cabinet I only got 2.2 gallons of water to fit. If you were going less substrate and fake plants it might hold 2.5. this is the top fin shrimp and plant 3 gallon cube. Other than having to solder a...

What did you do with your tank(s) today?

Due to my youngest needing a couple days off school, I had unplanned home time. After doing some much needed yard work that I haven't had time for, I finally had a little time to play in the water. The 125 got some very mild grooming, I had too many floaters on the right side causing some...

Through the wall / My Fish Room

I never noticed it before my big tank move when I culled out most of my lily clones but I definitely am seeing cycles of dormancy and regrowth from my lilys too, sadly all 4 I kept are on the same cycle. I don't know how long I'm going to end up waiting for the next flower event haven't had one...

I'm going out Saturday if the fields are rained out(likely) if I see some nice individual rocks at any of my haunts I'll text you some pictures. Pretty cool stuff.

I'd be in trouble; my schedule gets so hectic this time of year I do occasionally have to feed after midnight.

What did you do with your tank(s) today?

Yesterday I didn't have time for tank work, the little league fields are my third home lately but I was able to go see @DMD123, luckily much closer than usual, which was great for my over booked self this time of year. The little tiger is fitting in well in the 125, as he grows I'm really hoping...

FS CLOSED -Various fishes - PU Lakewood WA

If no one closer or more available snatches him up, I would enjoy giving that tiger pleco a place to live amongst my others. I am planning a motorcycle ride with my wife Saturday evening after baseball games and could probably include you in my loop. If that route doesn't work for her, or...

What did you do with your tank(s) today?

Looks like staghorn algae. It's not uncommon, easy to handle. You can shut down your filter for 5-10 minutes and directly dose the stuff with a little dab of hydrogen peroxide from an irrigator type syringe or a little graduated one like a lot of us use to draw samples for our water tests or...

Did you catch many in the traps? Curious what that looks like/how effective it is.

What did you do with your tank(s) today?

My outdoor outlets are GFCI protected by the main ones in the chain. There a GFCI at the front of the chain in the garage, protecting the one outside the garage. And one on my kitchen counter protecting the one on the back porch. Yours might be like that too so check before you replace it...

What did you do with your tank(s) today?

I bagged the crypts for Kieth, have a couple bags of ludwigia sitting ready for anyone that wants them. I finished just in time apparently, the water got shut down 15 minutes ago for a main break down the road.
