I'd say the odds of something happening would be very low, but "the odds" come form somewhere. LOL I always have some kind of cut on my hand but then I always wash them when I am done doing a tank cleaning.

Pretty decent deal, looks just like mine only with oak type trim. And yeah it's a nut buster :)

I haven't cleaned my canister hoses ever and probably should. That being said, when I do clean the filters before I start them back up, I take a fish net and put it over the output side of the hose and it catches 90% of the slime that comes out..

Re: LED advice I have 2 of these on my 8ft 240 tank and they do a great job.   I did have a transformer go bad, but that's been it.   Higher watt= higher lumen I believe.   For a 180 I would go reef bright but that's me with Tropheus.   I know some dis the beamworks but I have been very happy...

Here are some pics for you Tank is in our play area for the day care kids to see.. Spike and pumpkin the nest is in that container behind spike.    She pulled all the sand and coco fiber in there.   I took the lid off and she was seeing what I was up too, eggs are in there somewhere...

They are for now, we got a second tank to put him in to give her a break. We noticed she would eat like crazy lay the eggs then be really tired and not hungry for a bit then rinse repeat. So we thought it would be nice to separate them after she laid a couple. I haven't checked on the...

We have had a leopard gecko for about 5+ years now, kids named him Spike. Last year my wife found another one from some guy on CL that just wanted it gone. She went and picked it up and named it Pumpkin cause he is a really cool orange color. Long story short spike is not a guy turns out...
