I love hybrids! My red texas is a beast and grows a melon when he is in the humping mood! I can see why people get pissy about them but I don't think its a wide spread problem, I think it gets blown out of proportion. Things like deformities happen when fish start getting inbred multiple times.

Seachem safe is where its at. So cheap and its just prime in powder form. Little harder to measure it for small tanks but big tanks its the way to go.

The rocks are fake if I remember correctly. He got them from a company that made them for zoo's and what not. Unfortunately they aren't around anymore though cause I would love a few in my 300. I wonder how many fish stalkers mel has. I could sit and listen to him talk about fish all day lol

An old timer i talked to some years ago use to use fishing line. Would bunch it all up and when they would lay eggs on it, it would fall through and they could not eat the eggs. Don't really look to well in the tank but it gets the job done if breeding is what your into.

If its just 2 or 3 days i wouldnt worry about it. I just went a week myself without feeding them and have done it every year. Never had any fatalities but they usually strip all my algae off the wood and rocks. Longest I have gone was 10 days and i think that was a bit much, few of the fish...

Down to just one leaking now. Got superman strength I guess and had a few to tight from just hand tightening. Everything I have found online says to hand tighten then 1/4 turn more. I think part of my part of my problem is the surface around the hole is not perfectly smooth so its not a perfect...
