    Stand construction

You'll be able to park a car on that thing once the plywood is on. Build on.

Where are the cheapest led lights???

I have a 48" Beamswork LED light that I attached a blue automotive LED light strip to, with a small Radio Shack power supply soldered on, for night use. Works great.

LED Light Thread...For looking at all those options

Tank has been running since last April. I purchased the Beamswork in November, and took the photo not long after that. The plants that you see in the pic have grown dramatically since then. The extra light also brought on some cyanobacteria, which I have been battling each water change. It...

LED Light Thread...For looking at all those options

Here is my 55G planted with a Beamswork 48" LED 6500K. So far it has worked well and the plants grow nicely under its light. I strung up a blue LED light string for night use.

    Successful Betta Community Aquarium

Re: Successful Betta Community Aquarium Very nice. I have a male Betta with five Neons and a clown pleco in my 10 gallon tank and everyone seems to get along fine. I used to want a Betta in a planted bowl but now I'm happy I put him in the 10 gallon planted with other fish to interact with...

    Heater failure -- fish loss

I've had a heater stick on too. Fortunately by some amazing coincidence, it happened the night that I added the Roselines to my tank, so I was spending most of the evening watching the tank closely. I removed the heater and had to leave for night shift, so I couldn't get a new heater installed...

    Office tank fish ideas??

Re: Office tank fish ideas?? My betta seems super happy in the 10 gallon. Always moving around, occasional flaring and every now and then a half-hearted chase with a neon. After watching our little guy "Wilson the 2nd, Esquire", I don't think I would keep one in a bowl.

Fish selection for upcoming 45g tall

I wouldn't want to put rainbows in a tank less than four feet long. A pair of angels would look really nice; the pair I have in my planted 55 are the king and queen of the tank and that's with rainbows, roselines, and cardinal tetras competing for attention as well. A school of cardinals to go...

    Tiny cracks on acrylic?

Yep I used a Mother's headlight restoration kit to restore my used 55 gallon.  Worked great, even on some deeper scratches.  As an aside, when I was done with the tank it gave me motivation to go and actually use it on my car's headlights.

    GO SEAHAWKS!!!!

Was able to snap a pic of it lining up for takeoff earlier.  I didn't know it would be stopping by today otherwise I would have brought a real camera with me.

    GO SEAHAWKS!!!!

From what I've read, that is the plan.....or at least flying by the stadium. That 747-8 just completed a flight in the shape of a 12: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/BOE12

Sad news about redline Denisonii barbs

I sincerely hope the roselines can be sustained, as they are beautiful and I've thoroughly enjoyed them in my tank. However, they are incredibly sensitive. I started dosing a little API Algaefix last week, slightly less than the prescribed amount, and now three of my five roselines are dead...

    Why aquariums?

I love having a living conversation piece in my family room. So much life and habitat going on in a four foot long acrylic box.
